Privacy Policy
This is how Truck104 handles your data. We try to be clear about what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
1. What we collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and your carrier's MC and USDOT numbers. We use these to set up your account and verify you are a real carrier.
Fleet data. When you use the service, we store the data you put in: trucks, trailers, drivers, loads (including rates and pickup/delivery details), broker contact info, documents, and notes.
Telegram identity. When you or a team member connects to our Telegram bot, we store the Telegram user ID and chat ID so the bot can send messages to the right person.
Location data. When you connect an ELD provider (Samsara is the only one we support today), we receive truck location data from that provider. We use it to track loads and detect stops. We do not collect location data from your personal phone.
Usage logs. We log when you sign in, what features you use, and any errors that happen. This helps us keep the service running and fix problems.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Run the service for your carrier.
- Help your team automate dispatch tasks.
- Detect problems (late loads, missed stops, expired documents).
- Improve the service.
- Reply when you contact support.
We do not sell your data. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to anyone.
We do not share your data with marketers. Your fleet data stays inside your account and is only visible to your team.
3. Third-party services we use
We rely on these services to run Truck104. Each one only gets the data it needs to do its job.
- Supabase — Our database, login system, and file storage. Hosts most of your data.
- Telegram — Sends messages between our bot and your team. Your messages pass through Telegram's servers.
- Samsara — ELD telematics. We only connect when you set it up, and we only get truck data from your carrier. (Other ELD providers like Motive, Geotab, and Verizon Connect are on our roadmap but are not connected yet.)
- Google — We use Google Maps for geocoding (turning addresses into map coordinates) and map display. We send addresses; we do not send carrier or driver names with the requests.
- Resend — Sends transactional emails (welcome, password reset, etc.). Only when configured.
- Twilio — Sends SMS verification codes during signup. Only when configured.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. If you want to know more, ask us and we will point you to theirs.
4. Cookies
We use cookies only to keep you logged in. That is it.
- No tracking cookies. We do not track you across other websites.
- No advertising cookies. We do not show ads, so there is nothing to target.
- No analytics cookies that follow you. If we add analytics later, we will use a setup that respects your privacy.
5. How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as your account is active.
When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days. Some records may be kept longer when the law requires it. For example, financial audit logs may be kept for up to 7 years.
After deletion, we cannot recover your data.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Export your data. Ask us and we will send you a copy of your data in a common format.
- Delete your account. Ask us and we will remove your account and the data tied to it.
Send these requests to support@truck104.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
7. California residents (CCPA)
If you live in California, you have extra rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- The right to know what personal data we collect about you.
- The right to ask us to delete your personal data.
- The right to not be discriminated against for using these rights.
To use these rights, email support@truck104.com.
8. Children's privacy
Truck104 is not for children. The service is built for trucking professionals.
We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, tell us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy over time. For small changes, we will update the page and the "Last updated" date.
For material changes, we will show a notice in your dashboard at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
